Position
Profile: We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our
teams on the following surgical wards and department –
Ward 2B
– General Surgical, Gastroenterology and Complex
ENT;
Ward 3C
– Short Stay Surgical (mixed surgical specialties including
ENT, Orthopaedics, General and Dental Surgical).
Outpatient Department –
medical, surgical and interventional specialty clinics
including plastics and orthopaedic trauma.
Successful
candidates will be responsible for delivery of competent, high
quality nursing care to allocated patients and their families.
Your
key responsibilities will include:
Contribute to the
assessment of patients and the development, implementation and
evaluation of a plan of care and liaise with multidisciplinary
team to resolve patient problems, evaluate care and develop
discharge plans.
Accept
responsibility for the coordination of daily ward activities as
appropriate.
Monitor
and negotiate own and others workload within the available
resources on a shift-by-shift basis to support effective and
efficient delivery of a high standard of nursing
care.
Act as a
role model and undertake a teaching role in nursing practice
for more junior staff.
Participate in
multi-disciplinary decision making and contributes to the
achievement of Unit/Ward objectives.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to
fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position
