About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced Camp Electrician to provide electrical maintenance and repair services across the Eloise Copper Mine camp, offices and administration facilities.
This is a hands-on and largely autonomous role responsible for maintaining a broad range of domestic, commercial and light industrial electrical systems and equipment.
You will work closely with the Maintenance and Site Services teams to ensure camp facilities remain safe, reliable and operational.
This position may particularly suit an experienced senior tradesperson who enjoys working independently and managing a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake planned and unplanned electrical maintenance across the camp, offices and administration facilities.
Maintain and repair lighting, power circuits, switchboards and general electrical infrastructure.
Complete electrical installations, upgrades and minor project works.
Conduct electrical testing, tagging and routine compliance inspections.
Diagnose and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment where appropriately qualified.
Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment,



including combi ovens, industrial refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers and other appliances.
Maintain and repair camp laundry equipment, including commercial washing machines and dryers.
Assist with maintenance of the sewage treatment plant and associated electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot faults and complete repairs promptly to minimise disruption to camp operations.
Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of television, RF and Wi-Fi systems.
Coordinate contractors and suppliers where specialist support is required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and materials used.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and company procedures.
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Site Services and other site departments.
The position is FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane on an 8 days on 6 days off day shift roster.
Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities may DIDO and are encouraged to apply.
Accommodation and meals are provided onsite at Eloise Copper Mine, approximately 65 kilometres from Cloncurry.
About You
Current Queensland Unrestricted Electrical Work Licence.
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent.




Demonstrated experience across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical environments.
Robust experience in electrical fault finding, repairs, installations and preventative maintenance.
Sound knowledge of AS/NZS **** and relevant electrical legislation, standards and installation practices.
Ability to work safely and autonomously while effectively managing competing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive, practical and self-motivated approach to work.
Current Australian driver licence.
The following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:
Dual trade qualifications in electrical and air-conditioning or refrigeration.
Experience maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen appliances.
Experience with combi ovens, commercial refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers.
Experience with sewage treatment plants and associated equipment.
Television network, RF or Wi-Fi system experience.
Test and tag competency.
Current First Aid certification.
Working at Heights, Confined Space and EWP qualifications.
Upskilling and additional training may be provided to the successful applicant where required.
