An innovative, technology-driven advisory firm based in Toowoomba is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a energetic, full-service financial services firm supporting business owners across a wide variety of industries.
About the Role
Working closely with a Partner, you will manage a portfolio of business clients across accounting, tax advisory and business advisory, with exposure to a broad range of industries and structures. You will oversee workflow, supervise and mentor junior accountants, and proactively seek business advisory opportunities.
Over time, you will build up to managing in excess of $1.5M in client fees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients
- Review financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
- Supervise and mentor accountants within your team
- Ensure monthly workflow targets are met
- Identify and deliver business and tax advisory opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Liaise with clients directly with a high level of engagement
Requirements
- CA, CPA or IPA qualified
- Ideally has experience in a management position previously
- Strong technical knowledge across financial statements and tax returns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong workflow planning and time management abilities
- Driven, motivated and committed with a positive attitude
