About the location

We’re hiring in both Victoria and Queensland – we’d love to hear from candidates based in either state.

Our Victorian base is located behind Essendon Fields Airport, within a broader manufacturing precinct – a supportive, design-led workplace where collaboration is encouraged. Alternatively, based in our Archerfield facility, this role is at the heart of Modscape’s Queensland operations, supporting projects across the state and working closely with a dynamic project team.

About the role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Contracts Administrator is the central link between Modscape, its suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients, safeguarding and advancing Modscape’s commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.

You’ll proactively identify and manage contractual risk, and lead the subcontractor engagement process from tendering through to selection.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Lead the subcontractor engagement process, including coordinating proposals, managing tender activities, and reviewing submissions to deliver well-informed recommendations for subcontractor selection.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to protect and advance Modscape’s commercial interests.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation claims, and other contractual claims accurately and on time.




- Assist in preparing and maintaining project forecasts and cash flow statements, and contribute to monthly financial reporting.
- Understand all aspects of the contract, identifying key areas of financial risk and recommending control measures where needed.

What you’ll bring

- Tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, contract administration or similar (required).
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator (or similar) within construction, modular or manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract processes.
- Strong capability preparing progress claims, variations and contractual documentation.
- Understanding of cash flow forecasting, project reporting and financial controls.
- Proficiency in project systems (e.g., Jobpac, Procore, Aconex or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- High attention to detail, strong organisation and deadline management.
- Confident communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Proactive approach to commercial risk and problem solving.
