About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full time Chef & Cook to join the culinary team at Parathe Wali Gali, located in Sefton Park SA 5083. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise to a dynamic hospitality environment.

As Chef & Cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food offerings whilst working collaboratively with our kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety in all kitchen operations
- Manage food preparation from raw ingredients through to finished dishes
- Monitor and control portion sizes to minimise waste and maintain cost efficiency
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations and kitchen equipment
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies consistently
- Assist with menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements to existing offerings
- Stock and rotate ingredients appropriately to ensure freshness and quality
- Respond to feedback from management and adapt cooking techniques as required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen safety standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently during peak service times




- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good communication skills and willingness to take direction from management
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential with strong practical experience)
- Food handling and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one
- Flexibility with shift patterns, including potential weekend and evening work
