About the role

Revelations In Hair Design is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Hairdresser to join our dynamic team at our Wellington Point salon. This is a full-time position offering you the opportunity to lead by example, mentor junior staff, and deliver exceptional hair services to our valued clientele. As a Senior Hairdresser, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence whilst contributing to the creative vision and success of our salon.

Key responsibilities

- Provide high-quality hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments to clients

- Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences and expectations, offering professional recommendations

- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised workstation and salon environment in accordance with health and safety standards

- Mentor and supervise junior hairdressers, providing guidance, training and constructive feedback

- Contribute to the development of salon protocols, techniques and best practices

- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business

- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques and products within the industry

- Assist with salon administration tasks, including appointment scheduling and stock management as required

- Uphold the salon's values and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

- A recognised hairdressing qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience

- Minimum 5+ years' professional hairdressing experience, with proven expertise in cutting, colouring and styling

- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring or training junior staff

- Strong client service skills with the ability to build rapport and manage client expectations professionally





- Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards within salon environments

- Proficiency with a range of hair products, tools and styling techniques

- A genuine passion for hair design and staying informed about current industry trends

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Reliability, professional attitude and a commitment to excellence

- Desirable: experience with salon booking software
