Job Description

Muso Mobile - Pacific Epping About the Position Muso Mobile is seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join its Epping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing, servicing, testing and maintaining mobile phones, tablets, laptops and associated electronic equipment and components.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Examine, test and diagnose faults in mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic equipment. Interpret circuit diagrams, technical specifications, schematics and manufacturers' service information to determine faults and appropriate repair procedures. Use electronic testing and diagnostic equipment to locate faults in electronic circuits, components and systems.

Dismantle electronic devices and equipment to access, inspect and repair defective components. Diagnose and repair faults involving circuit boards, charging systems, batteries, speakers, microphones, displays, connectors and other electronic components. Repair, replace and reassemble defective electronic components, circuit boards, wiring and associated parts using appropriate tools and soldering equipment.

Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and replacement of damaged or defective electronic components where required. Install, adjust, test and configure electronic components and equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.



Test repaired equipment using appropriate electronic instruments to ensure correct operation and identify any remaining faults.

Adjust and calibrate electronic equipment and components to ensure they operate according to prescribed technical specifications. Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and technical inspections of electronic devices and equipment. Reassemble electronic equipment following repairs and undertake final functional and safety testing.

Maintain accurate records of diagnosed faults, repairs performed, components replaced and servicing undertaken. Provide technical advice regarding electronic equipment faults, repair requirements, operation and maintenance. Ensure all repairs and technical work are performed in accordance with relevant technical standards, workplace procedures and safety requirements.

Skills and Requirements Relevant trade qualification in electronics, electronic equipment servicing or a related discipline, preferably Certificate III/IV or equivalent . Relevant experience in servicing, diagnosing and repairing electronic equipment. Demonstrated experience repairing mobile phones, tablets, laptops and similar electronic devices.

Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, circuit boards, components,



wiring and electronic systems. Ability to interpret electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, technical manuals and manufacturers' specifications. Competence in using multimeters, diagnostic equipment, soldering equipment and other electronic testing and repair tools.

Sound skills in component-level fault diagnosis, soldering, repair and replacement of electronic components. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to accurately test, adjust and verify repaired electronic equipment.

High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Positive communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical advice regarding electronic equipment and repairs.
