Working collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, you'll play a vital role in achieving positive health outcomes and enhancing patient experiences. The Team The Intensive Care Unit within the LGH is a 11 bed energetic medical-surgical unit that prides itself on delivering excellence in health care and improving outcomes for our workforce and the Tasmanian community.

The team prides itself in having a strong, supportive culture and strives for high standards of care. The team is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our clients, utilising a range of treatment options such as mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy, advanced haemodynamic monitoring, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The Role

The Registered Nurse: Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients-clients, their families and other health professionals. Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives. Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment

In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient-client care. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach Note:

Details of appointment Permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 21 September 2026.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $80,524 to $109,175 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
