Senior Mechanical Project Engineerto join Rio Tinto's Sustaining Capital team in Weipa.
This site-based role will see you lead mechanical project packages across a range of infrastructure and operational projects, managing contractors, construction activities, procurement, quality assurance, commissioning and project delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver mechanical project scopes from planning through to commissioning
Manage contractors, safety, quality and compliance
Coordinate procurement, materials and site resources
Monitor schedules, costs and project performance
Support testing, commissioning and handover activities
Provide project reporting and stakeholder updates
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years' project delivery experience within mining, resources, infrastructure or heavy industry
Solid construction,



contractor management and commissioning experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Safety-focused with solid commercial and problem-solving abilities
