Job Description
RDO Group (QVC Group) is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Diesel Fitter-Mechanic to join their team in Rockhampton QLD. Diesel Fitter-Mechanic is responsible for using tools, machines, equipment and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant and equipment to operational standards. Duties:
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine suitable equipment and actions required
Fitting, assembling, and examining metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment accurately
Diagnosing and repairing faults
Interpreting technical drawings, accurately assembling and fitting mechanical components
Placing controls on machining tools and textile machines




Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools and installing hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure the reliable operation of machinery and equipment
Programming and adjusting machine controls, machining metal parts with precision
Undertake predictive and preventative fabrication, engineering and servicing
Undertake fabrication and engineering maintenance and repairs of mobile and fixed plants
Skills and Abilities
Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3 years' experience in this role or similar
Ability to work in a team workplace
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience Fulltime Position available Application opens on 30th of July and closes on 30th of August .
