Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager – Corporate Tax

You'll be involved in technically interesting work, build direct client relationships and have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.

The prospect Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, you'll gain exposure to corporate tax matters ranging from day-to-day compliance through to more complex advisory and transactional engagements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing corporate income tax returns
Preparing tax-effect accounting calculations and supporting workpapers
Researching technical tax issues and translating findings into practical advice
Preparing client correspondence, reports and technical papers
Assisting with tax structuring, due diligence, M&A; and other transactional matters
Developing knowledge across areas including CGT, FBT, capital allowances, losses, withholding tax and transfer pricing
Building experience in more advanced areas such as tax consolidation, foreign income and corporate structuring
Participating in internal technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions
Developing solid relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team as your experience grows
You'll ideally have:
2–5 years' experience in corporate tax or a similar professional services setting
A degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related discipline, with an Accounting major
Solid written and verbal communication skillsGood attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
The ability to explain technical issues clearly and practically
Confidence working independently while contributing effectively within a team
A genuine interest in continuing to develop your tax knowledge
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification is highly regarded, particularly for candidates operating at Assistant Manager level.
A double degree incorporating Law or a Master of Taxation would also be advantageous.
