Production Planner (Maternity Leave Cover)

The Opportunity
CACAO is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join its Cheltenham-based team on a part time, 12-month fixed-term contract covering a period of maternity leave. Working approximately 24 hours per week, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling the production and packing of CACAO's chocolates and macarons. You will work closely with the production, packing and inventory teams to ensure customer demand is met, resources are allocated effectively and production activities run smoothly. This role would suit an experienced planner who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining production and packing schedules




Planning production volumes in line with orders, forecasts and stock requirements
Coordinating the manufacture of chocolates, macarons and other products
Monitoring inventory levels, raw materials and packaging requirements
Identifying production constraints and adjusting schedules as required
Communicating priorities and schedule changes across relevant teams
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience working in food manufacturing or high-volume production environment
Solid organisational and planning skills
Confidence working directly on the factory floor
The ability to manage and lead across multiple teams and departments
Transparent, confident communication and leadership skills
A background in operations, production, or manufacturing (within the food industry)
A proactive, hands-on approach to team management and process improvement
Work with a premium and well-established Australian food brand
