Ultimate Fleet Maintenance is a growing mechanical workshop based in Hemmant, servicing a wide range of trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles around the Port of Brisbane and surrounding areas. We're a tight-knit team that values quality workmanship, reliability, and a down-to-earth work environment. We take pride in doing the job properly and backing our team with the support they need. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.
The Role
This is a full time position based primarily in our Hemmant workshop, with occasional field service work as required. You'll be working across a variety of trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles, carrying out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
Carry out mechanical inspections and fault finding
Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas
Complete job notes and documentation to a high standard
Work both independently and as part of a team




Assist with the day to day operations of the workshop and assisting other trades/ apprentices where required
Occasional field service work (vehicle provided when required)
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
HR licence preferred
Previous experience preferred – newer mechanics are welcome to apply, but experienced applicants will be prioritised
Robust mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current driver's licence

$48–$60 per hour + super (based on experience)
