We've moved our detailing onto Vertex BD, and we're looking for an experienced detailer to own light gauge steel housing designs from first layout through to fabrication.

We'll train you on Vertex BD — experienced detailers from any of these backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do
Produce accurate, fabrication-ready drawings,



layouts and sections for single and double-storey LGS housing.
Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, and make sure designs meet building codes and company standards.
Manage multiple jobs to deadline without dropping accuracy — raise RFIs and resolve technical queries as they come up.
Work with engineers, internal teams and installers, and give trades practical guidance on site.
Check your own work, take part in peer review and help sharpen our drafting process as we grow.
What you'll bring
Detailing / drafting experience in Vertex, FrameCAD, Tekla, AutoCAD or similar.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, with sharp attention to detail.
Good spatial reasoning and problem-solving — an eye for catching errors before they reach the floor.
A clear communicator who works well solo and in a team.
Nice to have:
Australian residential construction experience
steel or timber framing exposure
a fabrication-focused drafting background.
