Junior In House Lawyer – Graduate to 3 years PQE

We are looking for a self motivated lawyer who is either a recent graduate or a junior lawyer, with dispute resolution or commercial law experience or who is interested in gaining broader legal experience.
The job
This position is a full time permanent position. In this junior solicitor role, you will conduct the defence of claims in the Dust Diseases Tribunal of NSW and other Australian states. The role involves drafting correspondence and pleadings, attending directions hearings and mediations,



conducting legal research and assisting other team members.
There is also an prospect to work and gain experience on commercial matters primarily in the Asia Pacific region, including commercial advice on various contractual matters and the review of non-disclosure and commercial intermediary agreements.
About you
If you have a Bachelor's Degree in Law, then this role could be for you. You could be a graduate lawyer or have up to 3 year's post admission experience as a practising lawyer in Australia either in-house or in private practice, although pre-qualification experience will be considered. Overseas experience will also be considered.
You will be a team player and self-starter, have excellent research and communication skills, valuable writing and drafting skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
