Public Sector People are partnering with local government organisation to recruit for a Project Engineer - Energy, Utilities, and Sustainability
Contract: 6 months contract with potential to extend
Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer - Energy, Utilities and Sustainability is Council's technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for energy management, utilities, renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
Monitors and analyses Council's energy use identifies cost and emissions reduction prospects and supports the delivery of Council-wide energy and sustainability initiatives.
Supports the transition to a Zero Emission Fleet by providing energy data, demand forecasting,



site capacity assessments and technical advice to inform EV charging infrastructure planning and future energy requirements across Council facilities and depots.
Minimuml 3+years managing renewable energy, energy management projects, ideally within local government
Bachelor's degree in environmental management OR engineering OR in a relevant field
