Due to company expansion Multiquip is seeking a multi-skilled Workshop Leading Hand/Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kingston QLDto assist current management in leading our team of Mechanics and Trades Assistants during the day.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Repairs & maintenance of heavy vehicles, trailers & equipment
Experienced diagnostic skills
An understanding of NHVAS & WHS compliance
On-call field services when required - with vehicle provided
Keep equipment operating at its optimum capacity and assist with team planning and effective work flow
Able to problem solve and take responsibility for breakdowns or repairs when on duty
Robust leadership skills
Supervision of workshop staff.
Job allocation for team.




Monitoring and assessing jobs.
Moving trucks / prime movers as required.
Communicating with Workshop manager and Branch Manager on a regular basis.
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role
Able to work Monday to Friday and rotating Saturdays
Understanding of NHVAS & WHS
Previous experience in leading, delegating and monitoring staff performance
Able to perform physical tasks of the role including bending, heavy lifting and carrying, manual labour and use of hand tools
HC Drivers License required
