Hayters Sawmill located at Werombi in Sydney's South West requires a qualified Fitter Plant / Mechanic to support site maintenance.
This position represents a long term prospect for the right applicant.The site workshop consists of a manager and fitter.
Small team with versatile skills.
We require a team worker with initiative, hard working with some plant experience.
You must be hands on and willing to learn.
A local to the area is preferred.
The principal responsibility will be the timely repairs to machinery and equipment to ensure production schedules are maintained.
Site maintenance issues such as break downs etc.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Fault finding and trouble shooting.




Undertaking repairs to sawmill machinery to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
Attendto services and preventative maintenance.
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
Acurrent or near Qualified Mechanical Fitter.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team with valuable communication skills.
Familiarity with plant or similar machinery.
6:30am start to 4pm Mon-Thurs with early finish on Friday 1:30pm - no weekend overtime.
Competitive $50 hourly rate.
