About the Role
As a Site Labourer, you’ll play an important role in supporting our site teams to deliver quality commercial construction projects safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for an experienced labourer who is looking to advance their career within the construction/building sector.
Key responsibilities include
- General labouring tasks including load/unload materials, manual handling and demolition
- Maintain a clean,
organised and safe work
- Support the set-up and pack-up of site
- Assist the Site Manager, Safety Supervisor and Sub-Contractors by responding promptly to requests and adapting to changing project requirements
- Operate various hand and power tools
- Following all health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment
About You
- A strong work ethic and a reliable, positive attitude
- The ability to work well within a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong working relationships
- Initiative and willingness to learn
- Good time management and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in building a career in the construction industry
Role Requirements
- Previous labouring or construction experience (or similar)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Physically capable of undertaking manual work
- EWP & Telle Handler licences are highly desirable.
- As our people are required to attend government, health and education facilities and construction sites, it is a condition of employment for this role, that the ability to pass a pre-employment medical and background Police and Working with Children checks are adhered to.
