Freelance Social Media & Content Creator

~15 Hours Per Week | Immediate Start | Room to Grow into Full-Time

$30–$40 per hour | Independent contractor (ABN required)

We're a family-run baby and kids wear brand on the rise, and we're on the hunt for someone who genuinely loves social media (not just says they do). If you can spot a scroll-stopping hook from a mile away, aren't afraid to jump on camera, and want to help build something from the ground up, keep reading.

This isn't a "post and pray" kind of role. We want a creative storyteller who understands what makes people stop, watch, and actually care. Someone who can turn an everyday moment into content that performs.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Filming and editing Reels, TikToks and short-form content that actually gets watched

- Confidently appearing on camera as the face of our content (this one's non-negotiable)

- Community engagement: replying to comments, liking and interacting with our audience

- Writing robust captions, hooks and CTAs that sound like us

- Coming up with fresh content ideas across our content pillars, not just chasing trends

- Planning and scheduling content

- Being available for event marketing and content days when they pop up

- Keeping across trends and platform changes without losing your own creative voice

What a typical week might look like:

Day 1: Planning meeting, strategy chat, filming content, replying and engaging on posts
Day 2: Editing, scheduling, more community engagement

One day per week is at our West Footscray warehouse (planning & filming), the second day can be remote (editing). Hours and days are flexible as long as weekly and monthly goals are being hit, so this genuinely suits mums on maternity leave,



or anyone juggling school pick ups and needing a role that flexes with life.

We're Looking For Someone Who

- Has real experience in graphic design, video editing and content creation

- Understands the nuances of motherhood (this matters more than you'd think)

- Is a confident, natural storyteller both behind and in front of the camera

- Has a proven track record writing captions and hooks that convert, not just look nice

- Stays on top of trends but doesn't rely on them as a personality

- Is organised, reliable and can manage their own workload

- Takes their work seriously but doesn't take themselves too seriously (we like a laugh)

Essential Requirements

- Available immediately, roughly 15 hours per week

- Own ABN and happy to operate as an independent contractor

- Own laptop, phone and editing software/apps (we can provide access to software apps if needed)

- Proven experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

- Comfortable being on camera regularly

- Able to attend our West Footscray warehouse one day per week

- Reliable transport to get there

Bonus Points If You Have

- Photography or videography experience

- Experience with Meta Ads or organic growth strategy

- A personal social presence of your own (we'd love to see it)
