We're seeking an experienced leader to head our Engineering & Technical Services function within the C-27J Program. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for leading a large technical workforce, driving customer outcomes, developing capability, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of engineering services in a dynamic operational environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering and technical services team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic, tactical and operational leadership to ensure customer requirements and contractual obligations are successfully delivered.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across customers, program leadership, engineering teams and key operational stakeholders.
- Oversee planning, prioritisation, scheduling, resource management and reporting across a diverse portfolio of engineering activities.
- Drive workforce planning, capability development and succession planning to support current and future business needs.
- Work collaboratively across engineering, maintenance, supply chain, flight operations, training and capability development functions to achieve integrated outcomes.
- Lead the delivery of critical engineering and airworthiness services while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.
- Manage risk, issues and opportunities, ensuring effective governance, reporting and decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering systems, processes and business performance.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience leading and developing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments.
- Strategic mindset with strong operational execution capability.
- Experience within Defence, aerospace, aviation or another highly regulated industry is highly regarded.

Security Requirements
- Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
You will also need to satisfy police checks and employment screening verification.
