We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support a major risk & regulatory transformation program within a large organisation in Financial Services.

$800 pd + super
2 days from the CBD office
Initial 6-month contract w/ high likelihood of extension

The role sits within an agile delivery environment and require a writer comfortable working at pace with delivery teams, SMEs and product stakeholders to produce explicit, practical SOPs, guidance documents and operational artefacts.

You will translate complex processes and requirements into structured, easy-to-use documentation that supports delivery, compliance, and adoption across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain SOPs, guidance documents, and procedural materials aligned to agile delivery
- Work closely with SMEs, delivery leads and product teams to capture and clarify requirements
- Translate complex risk, regulatory or customer processes into clear, actionable documentation
- Ensure documentation is consistent, fit-for-purpose and aligned to agreed standards
- Contribute to knowledge management through process maps, reference materials and supporting artefacts

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven experience as a Technical Writer within complex programs (risk/regulatory)
- Comfortable working in agile delivery settings with evolving requirements
- Strong ability to structure and simplify complex information
- Experience producing SOPs, guidance documents and operational documentation
- Proficiency with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint and Microsoft Office
- Background in financial services or regulated environments is highly regarded
