We currently have a terrific opportunity for a Team LeaderFamily Health to join our Family Services Team.
About the Role
As Team Leader - Family Health, you will lead the deliveryof Latrobe City Council's Maternal and Child Health and Immunisation services,ensuring high-quality, accessible, and compliant programs that support thehealth and wellbeing of children and families across the community.
Reporting to the Coordinator Family Health and Development,you will oversee a team of Maternal and Child Health Nurses, ImmunisationNurses and support employees while driving continuous improvement, serviceinnovation and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will providestrategic direction, manage day-to-day service operations, oversee budgets andresources, and build strong relationships with government agencies, communityorganisations and health service providers. You will play a key role inensuring services align with legislative requirements, funding guidelines, bestpractice standards and Council's commitment to delivering exceptional communityoutcomes.
About You
You are a team-oriented and experienced people leader who ispassionate about improving health outcomes for children and families. You bringa robust understanding of community health programs, coupled with the abilityto lead multidisciplinary teams, manage operational priorities and foster aculture of continuous improvement.
You will need:
- Tertiaryqualifications in a relevant field, or a lesser qualification combinedwith substantial experience delivering family health programs or serviceswithin a community setting.
- Provenexperience leading, supervising and motivating staff to achievehigh-quality service outcomes.
- Soundknowledge of Maternal and Child Health services, immunisation programs andrelevant legislative and practice frameworks.
- Experiencemanaging budgets, operational resources and workforce planning activities,including rostering and recruitment.
- Demonstratedability to analyse and resolve complex operational challenges in a dynamicenvironment.
- Strongstakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
