Our client is a major player within the asbestos industry, delivering specialist asbestos duties to a varied client base. This company is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Asbestos Consultant based in and around the Wakefield area. The ideal applicant will hold the P402/3/4/5 certificates and will be experienced in carrying out a range of site audits and post-work inspections as well as project management duties. Applications from Leeds, Barnsley, Bradford, Pontefract and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have a good educational background.
- The applicant must have attained the P402/P403/P404/P405 or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
- Extensive experience working in this role within the asbestos industry, preferably a UKAS accredited organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Responsibilities of the role
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attend pre-start site meetings, site audits and post work inspections.
- Carry out asbestos training where required.
- Ensure that the work completed is to the clients specifications.
- Review and sign off amendments and maintain all relevant documentation, reports, surveys etc.
- Carrying out asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys on various properties.
- Working alongside other departments to co-ordinate projects.
- Taking asbestos samples and sending to laboratory for analysis.
- Overseeing contractors to ensure work carried out is in accordance with asbestos Health & Safety procedures.
- Ensuring work is carried out effectively and within time line.
Must hold a full, clean driving license.
