We're seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to support a local government team in the Wollongong region.

This is an initial one-week assignment, with the potential for further opportunities for the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic and makes a positive impression on site.

You'll be responsible for operating excavators across a variety of civil maintenance and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role, so you'll also need to be willing to jump out of the machine and assist with general labouring duties as required.

About the role:

- Operate excavators safely and efficiently
- Assist with general civil labouring and maintenance tasks
- Work on roads, drainage, footpaths and other public infrastructure
- Follow safe work practices and site procedures
- Work as part of a collaborative crew

To be successful you'll have:

- Demonstrated experience operating excavators in a civil environment
- Relevant plant operator tickets/licences
- White Card
- Current driver's licence (HR licence highly regarded)
- A solid commitment to safety and teamwork
- A willingness to undertake physical labour when required
