Aero Equipment is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer with over 45 years of experience in mandrel tube bending, precision fabrication, welding and industrial design. We manufacture premium truck exhaust systems and fabricated components for many of Australia's leading truck manufacturers and distributors.

We're relocating to our new 1,800m² facility in Melton and are looking for experienced MIG Welders & Fabricators who take genuine pride in producing high-quality work. If you have experience in TIG Welding we would also like to hear from you!

Our products are manufactured in small production runs, with a wide variety of components and truck exhaust systems passing through the workshop. While production is repetitive in nature, batches are typically no more than 20 pieces, and every weld and finished component must be produced consistently to exact drawing specifications and our high quality standards.

What you'll be doing

- MIG and TIG welding of truck exhaust systems and fabricated components
- Fabricating from engineering drawings
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminised steel
- Grinding, fitting and preparing components
- Producing extremely neat, accurate, airtight (pressure tested) welds




- Inspecting your own work to ensure a high standard of quality
- Working safely and maintaining equipment
- Working with a supportive team to meet production schedules

We are looking for someone who has

- Strong MIG welding experience
- Fabrication experience
- Ability to read workshop drawings
- Pride in producing quality workmanship
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team

Bonus points if you have experience with:

- Light guage welding
- Tubular fabrication
- TIG welding - Mild & Stainless Steel
