A-Grade Electrician / Security Technician

A-Grade Electrician | Small Projects | Security Equipment Installations | Commercial | $50–$55/hr | Melbourne

We’re looking for a licensed A-Grade Electrician qualified to install security equipment to join a growing team delivering service, maintenance, and small project work across commercialsites around Melbourne.

This hands-on role offers strong exposure to technical work, problem-solving, and systems beyond standard installs, including communications and security systems.

If you enjoy variety, fault finding, and working across multiple sites, this role offers a strong mix of independence, stability, and ongoing work.

The role

You’ll be working across a mix of commercialenvironments, including:

Service, maintenance, and breakdown work

Fault finding across electrical systems and equipment

Small to medium project work

Installation, commissioning, and testing

Exposure to communications, CCTV, and security systems

This role suits electricians who prefer hands-on, varied work rather than large construction projects.





The person in this position may occasionally be required to work on weekends, or outside ordinary work hours to carry out the requirements of the role. Requirements to travel domestically for work are also possible.

What you’ll need

Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (VIC)

Private Security Equipment Installer Licence (VIC)

Open Cabling Licence

Elevating Work Platform (EWP) / Scissor Lift Licence

Current Australian Driver’s Licence with access to own vehicle

Construction Induction White Card

Commercial and/or industrial experience

Experience with CCTV, security, or communications systems

Solid fault-finding and problem-solving ability
