Delivering architecturally designed homes, duplexes and multi-unit developments across Melbourne, Story Built is growing, and we’re looking for an Estimator & Procurement Coordinator to join our team.

Working closely with the Director and Project Delivery team, you'll play a key role in estimating, procurement, and pre-construction coordination, ensuring every project is accurately costed, strategically planned and set up for successful delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Prepare preliminary and detailed construction estimates and project budgets for residential projects.
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering documentation.
- Support project feasibility assessments and contribute to pre-construction cost planning.
- Source, negotiate and engage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including trade letting and material purchasing, to support project delivery.
- Prepare scopes of work, purchase orders and subcontractor agreements.
- Monitor project costs, variations and procurement schedules throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project records, including cost reports and procurement registers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors while regularly reviewing performance.




- Develop and maintain historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and drive continuous improvement across pre-construction processes.

About You

You’ll bring

- Proven experience in residential estimating, procurement or contract administration.
- A strong understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to confidently interpret architectural, structural and engineering documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Confident in building relationships and robust negotiation skills
- Experience in construction management software. (Wunderbuild experience is highly regarded)
- Exposure and experience within high end residential construction
