Australian Crushing and Belting Group Pty Ltd – Thomastown VIC

Due to expansion, we have a full time role based out of our recently acquired Melbourne facility in Thomastown. We are an Australian owned company with headquarters North of Brisbane. The company has been in business since 2009 and continues to grow each year.

This role will suit a sales professional with a track record building solid customer relationships and high levels of customer service. We focus on crushing and screening wear parts, conveyor belt sales and installation, conveyor spare-parts and machinery to a wide range of customers on both fixed plant and mobile machinery in many industries including the quarry, mining and recycling sectors. We have a rapidly developing range of offerings and multiple exclusive distributorships.

The ideal candidate is an organised self-starter, capable of planning and building a territory with new and existing clients, to drive sales in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Southern NSW, by promoting the range of products and services available from the Australian Crushing & Belting Group and its partner companies.

The role requires face-to-face contact with customers on-site and will involve travel. You will work with our group team to ensure our customers are receiving information, products and accurate sales of the products and services they require.

In this role you will interact with the general manager, finance and company owners. You will also be supported with technical and sales training. As a progressive company we are always looking to develop our staff. A successful candidate can expect career progression opportunities.

It would be beneficial for you to have the following:

- Experience in direct crushing/screening/conveyor products or industrial spare part sales




- Experience with business to business (B2B) sales if no heavy industry experience
- Ability to understand and communicate mechanical and technical benefits
- Experience using a CRM system (we use Odoo ERP)
- Proven sales skills and results
- Willingness to learn
- Be a team player
- Current driving license

Detailed responsibilities will include:

- Reach out to potential new clients via phone, email or in-person sales meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
- Identify customer needs and tailor solutions that meet their requirements.

Sales strategy implementation

- Develop and execute plans to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Present, demonstrate and communicate the value of our products or services effectively.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to boost revenue.

Pipeline and CRM management

- Maintain accurate records of sales interactions using CRM software.
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure consistent progress.
- Track metrics like conversion rates, lead generation and customer retention.

Market research and analysis

- Stay updated on market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
- Research competitors to anticipate market changes and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Reporting and collaboration

- Prepare sales reports detailing goals achieved and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align strategies.
- Communicate updates, challenges and results with management to refine tactics.
