Brisbane City Council - Fitter and TurnerThis role will be based out of the Toowong Workshop in Western Brisbane, working under the Bus Operations Team.
You can expect to be responsible for all general maintenance, construction and manufacturing of council transport fleet.Key tasks include:Machining parts using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Measuring and marking out components accurately.Assembling and fitting mechanical parts.Repairing and maintaining industrial machinery.Welding, cutting, drilling, and tapping.Faultfinding and troubleshooting mechanical issues.What you will need to exceedA commitment to safety and ensuring all machinery and operations are conducted according to guidelines and an interest in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.Australian or Australian Recognised Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical)
