Quality Assurance and Transcription Typist

Legal Transcripts Pty Ltd is a market leader in the recording and transcription of court proceedings, police interviews, private meetings, interviews and arbitrations, and provides services to courts and government departments throughout Australia.
We are seeking a committed and conscientious individual to take on a role that includes typing transcripts, carrying out quality assurance checks on transcripts, merging different documents into a complete transcript, coordinating production teams and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.

Due to the nature of highly confidential and sensitive material, candidates are required to undergo thorough National Police, and other security clearance and pre-employment checks.
The role is an in-office, casual position, which is based in the Sydney CBD.




The role requires that the successful applicant be available five days a week.

The position would be well suited to a recent law graduate or someone with legal industry experience.
Role requirements:
Experience or education in the legal sector, or in the production of transcripts, would be highly regarded.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sharp attention to detail, pride in work.
Developed administrative and time management skills.
Willingness to learn, and to contribute to the team.
Capable touch typist with ability to transcribe from audio and be able to type at 80 wpm minimum with 98% accuracy (testing applies).
Self-sufficient with a high level of computer literacy.
Enjoy working in rapid-paced team setting.
Applicants will be subjected to multiple stages of pre-employment screening and successful applicants will be provided with training in the role.
Successful applicants will be required to complete security checks inclusive of a National Police Check and NSW Baseline Clearance, organised by Legal Transcripts.
