North Shore Veterinary Hospital is looking for a compassionate and reliable Driver to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This role will provide safe, skilled transport for veterinary patients travelling between referring clinics and our specialist emergency hospital, while also supporting our clinical team as an Animal Attendant or Veterinary Nurse (dependent on experience and qualifications).
This is more than driving — you'll be a vital part of the patient care journey.
You'll help ensure animals are transported safely, calmly and comfortably while supporting our veterinary and nursing teams with patient care, communication and seamless handovers.In this role, you'll:Safely transport patients between veterinary clinics and our hospitalAssist with patient handling,



loading and unloadingMonitor patient comfort and welfare during transportWork closely with veterinary nurses, specialists and referring clinicsMaintain our ambulance to the highest standards of cleanliness and readinessSupport the hospital team as an Animal Attendant or Veterinary Nurse, depending on your level of experienceAssist with animal care duties within the clinic environmentWe're looking for someone who has:Confidence handling animals of different sizes and temperamentsA calm, caring and qualified approachStrong attention to detail and a team-focused attitudeA genuine commitment to animal welfareExperience in a veterinary, animal care, animal handling or healthcare environment (highly regarded)Veterinary nursing qualifications or experience (desirable but not essential)Join North Shore Veterinary Hospital and help patients get where they need to be — safely, compassionately and with care.
