About the role

In the vacation student finance role, gain practical experience supporting commercial and financial activities across a mining operation. Working with experienced professionals, you will help analyse data and contribute to business decision‑making.

Some of your work may include:

- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support financial reporting and analysis.
- Analyse operational and business performance data.
- Contribute to cost tracking and reconciliation processes.
- Assist with financial modelling and documentation.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to support decision‑making.

Program location

Northparkes Operations, NSW





One of Australia’s most technically advanced mining operations, featuring block cave, sub‑level cave and open pit mining.

Roster: 5:2/4:3
Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

About you

We’re looking for motivated students who are curious, hands‑on and keen to grow their technical skills.

You’ll be:

- Studying finance, accounting, commerce or related discipline.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- A strong problem‑solver with analytical thinking skills.
- A confident communicator and team player.
- Willing to live and work in a regional mining workplace.
- Hold a valid manual driver’s license.
