La Renaissance Patisserie, The Rocks, is seeking a energetic and motivated cafe/patisserie assistant shop manager, to work full time hours (5 days per week).
The successful candidatemustwork at least one day on the weekend, and the remaining 4 days during the week.This is a long term position - we will not consider any applicants who are unable to stay in the business for more than 12 months.This position is available as either full time or casual if you prefer.
You must have at least 2 years of hospitality management experience in a busy restaurant/cafe.Known for our excellence in providing Sydney's finest cakes and patisseries, La Renaissance aims to provide the highest standards across all aspects of the business.We are a passionate small business and looking to hire someone with previous experience in a hospitality managerial position, outstanding customer service skills, initiative and a love of patisserie and French food.




You do not need to speak French, however any interest or prior experience with French cuisine is helpful.Our shop manager must be willing to work the majority of their role as a hands-on position in the cafe, and is responsible for:day to day management and training of the casual wait staff and baristasstock ordering, peak season (Christmas Etc) planninghigh quality barista coffee and latte art trainingcustomer orders, feedback and complaintsfull product knowledge, including allergens and ingredients of all pastries/cakes/savouriesrostering front of house staffstaff training, troubleshooting and updating for all iPads/software systems in use.managing and dispatching cake ordersdisplaying products for special occasion dates
