AgKing is looking for a motivated and reliable Diesel Mechanic Agricultural Equipment to join our growing team in Wangara.
This is an excellent prospect for someone who enjoys working on tractors and agricultural equipment and wants to take ownership of preparing, servicing and maintaining our machines. Agricultural experience is preferred, but we also welcome applications from experienced diesel mechanics with an interest in the agricultural industry.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for the pre delivery, servicing, maintenance and repair of AgKing tractors and implements, ensuring every machine leaves our workshop ready to perform.
This is a varied role combining workshop-based work with field service, providing technical support and repairs at customer sites across the region. As you'll be dealing directly with customers, strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-delivery assembly, inspection and testing of new tractors and implements
- Servicing, diagnosing and repairing tractors and agricultural equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance and warranty repairs
- Field service, repairs and breakdown support at customer locations
- Preparing machinery for customer collection or delivery
- Providing excellent customer service and technical advice
- Assisting with stock control and workshop organisation
- Maintaining workshop tools and equipment
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
About You
Ideally, you'll have:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (preferred)
- Agricultural machinery experience highly regarded
- Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Pride in producing quality workmanship
- Current driver's licence
