Job Description

This permanent, part‑time opportunity offers hands‑on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Shift Details

You’ll work afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday: 2:25 pm – 6:15 pm. Total: 19.17 hours.

Responsibilities

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you will be a key leader in delivering high‑quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service.

- Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program.
- Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
- Play and have fun with primary‑school‑aged children.
- Support program compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications

- Preferably have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education (training provided if not).
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and retains a child‑like enthusiasm.
- Confident communicator with children, parents,



team members and school principals.
- Strong team player with excellent problem‑solving skills and a can‑do, positive attitude.
- Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary‑aged children.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and loves to have fun.
- Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
- Required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
