At ARP Surveyors we’re looking for a great surveyor.

We’re looking for an experienced, mature surveyor who knows how to work through a job properly — in the field, back at the office, and with the judgement to know when something needs a second look.

This role will suit someone who likes being trusted to get on with the job, but also knows that great surveying is never just about collecting points.

It is about preparation. Thinking. Checking. Questioning. Understanding the site. Reading the brief. Seeing what does not quite add up. Knowing when to stop, call it early, and work through the issue properly.

We are a practical, field-first surveying business built on accuracy, reliability and precision. We work across detail and contour surveys, identification surveys, boundary and building surveys, peg outs, works as executed, setouts, subdivision-related work and broader land and building surveying services across NSW.

We are now looking for an experienced surveyor to support work across the Sydney, Central Coast , and Newcastle region. The ideal person would be Central Coast based so that they are centrally located between Sydney and Newcastle.

About The Role

You will be responsible for delivering accurate field surveying work across ARP’s residential, commercial and development-related service lines.

You will report to the region registered surveyor and work closely with other surveyors, drafting and the broader ARP team to make sure jobs are completed properly, efficiently and professionally.





This is a role for someone who can own their work from job brief to fieldwork to handover — and who understands that clean field notes, clear communication and early escalation make everyone’s job easier.

Some Of What You’ll Be Doing -

- Undertake field surveys using appropriate equipment, methods and safe work practices.
- Complete detail/contour surveys, identification surveys, peg out surveys, boundary/building surveys, works as executed surveys and construction setout work.
- Collect complete and accurate field evidence, measurements, photos, notes and supporting information.
- Complete calculations, drafting inputs, checks and job documentation as required.
- Identify missing information, access issues, safety concerns, scope gaps or technical issues before they become bigger problems.
- Escalate technical judgement calls to a registered surveyor early and clearly.

What We’re Looking For -

- An experienced surveyor with solid practical field capability.
- Qualified through university, TAFE/Diploma pathway or equivalent industry experience.
- Confident working across land, cadastral, construction or development-related surveying.
- Robust in fieldwork, calculations, job records and survey documentation.
- Mature in judgement — able to step back, question and evaluate a job rather than just push through it.
- Analytical and practical — able to see what is wrong, what is missing, and what needs to happen next.
- Reliable,



organised and able to manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
- Clear and professional with clients and internal team members.
- Comfortable working independently, while knowing when to ask for support.
- Willing to travel across the Central Coast and broader NSW as required.
- Holding a current driver licence.
