Marketing Officer
Temporary Full Time until September 2027
Band 5 Salary Range: $80,810.26 - $92,898.75 per year plus superannuation
Location: Morwell – Hybrid Work Arrangement
About the Role
We're looking for a Marketing Officer to join our Marketing & Engagement team and help showcase the incredible programs, services and facilities that make Latrobe City a vibrant and welcoming community.
In this varied and hands-on role, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, website, social media and email channels. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll create engaging content, maintain and optimise digital platforms, and help ensure our marketing activities are delivered on time, on brand and with impact.
From promoting major community facilities such as Latrobe Leisure, Latrobe Regional Gallery and Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, to supporting a wide range of Council services, no two days will be the same. You'll play an key role in helping our community stay informed, connected and engaged.

About You
You're a passionate marketing professional with a flair for creating engaging content and delivering campaigns that achieve results. You bring a positive, can-do attitude, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You enjoy collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders and can confidently translate ideas into compelling marketing initiatives. Whether you're updating website content, producing an EDM, coordinating a campaign schedule or analysing marketing performance, you take pride in delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service.
Most importantly, you're someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment,
embraces continuous improvement and is excited about using your marketing expertise to make a positive impact in the community.
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Digital Communications, Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and delivering successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Experience applying brand guidelines and maintaining consistent, professional marketing collateral.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience using marketing and design platforms such as Adobe InDesign, Canva and Mailchimp.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools including website content management systems, Google Analytics and social media advertising platforms.
