Strathfield Golf Club is seeking an ambitious Golf Course Foreman (3IC) to join our passionate and high-performing course maintenance team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recently qualified apprentice, 4th-year apprentice, or an experienced Greenkeeper looking to take the next step into management.

You'll work directly alongside our young leadership team, with both the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in their early 30s, fostering a modern, progressive and supportive culture focused on developing the next generation of turf managers. Our maintenance team has an average age of just 24, creating an energetic workplace where new ideas, learning and professional development are encouraged.

The Chance

As the Golf Course Foreman (3IC), you'll play an integral role in the daily presentation and continual improvement of one of Sydney's premier golf courses while developing the technical and leadership skills needed for future management positions.

Comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided in:

- Hand watering and advanced moisture management

- Chemical and fertiliser application programs

- Irrigation troubleshooting, repairs and system management

- Staff supervision and daily work planning

- Golf course presentation and tournament preparation





- Machinery operation and maintenance

- Modern agronomic practices and turf management

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- A qualified Sports Turf Greenkeeper (or current 4th-year apprentice)

- Passionate about producing exceptional playing surfaces

- Eager to continue learning and developing professionally

- A positive team player with strong communication skills

- Looking to build a long-term career in golf course management

Previous supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential. We value attitude, work ethic and a willingness to learn above all else.
