Family Nurture

Pimpama

We're seeking Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Pathologists to join our team at Family Nurture on the Gold Coast.

Family Nurture is the Gold Coast's trusted, fast-growing multidisciplinary clinic in South East Queensland.

We have two clinics on the Gold Coast — our brand-new Pimpama location and our established Pacific Pines clinic — with room availability at both.

Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, mental health social workers, eating disorder specialists and other professionals provides therapeutic and assessment services for children, adolescents, families, and adults.

We see patients under NDIS, Medicare and Private billing. We are currently in the process of becoming an NDIS-registered centre.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

- Two dedicated, specialised occupational therapy rooms for tailored interventions

- Purpose-built testing rooms for psychologists, speech pathologists, and other clinicians

- A therapy room with an attached observation suite, featuring a one-way mirror for discreet observation

- Secure session recording and live-streaming capabilities, enabling remote supervision and second opinions while maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy standards

- A conference room for team collaboration and professional development (available at our Pacific Pines clinic)

Join our friendly, multidisciplinary team and bring your passion and drive. We care about our clinicians and are committed to high professionalism and outstanding patient care.

Family Nurture is open weekdays 8am–5pm (Wednesdays until 8pm) and Saturdays 8am–1pm, giving families and clinicians greater flexibility.

Why Contract With Us

All clinical roles at Family Nurture are offered as a contractor arrangement,

at a percentage rate, for the use of all equipment — including computers, training rooms, and observation rooms with recording systems and a one-way mirror — plus full administrative support.

Many of our clinicians find contracting significantly more rewarding than traditional employment, both in earning potential and in the flexibility to shape your own caseload and hours. If you're weighing up contracting versus employment, get in touch — we're happy to walk you through exactly how the numbers and flexibility compare.

Benefits to You

- Contractor arrangement with a solid income and flexibility upside compared to employment — full administrative support included

- Access to equipment, training rooms, and observation/recording facilities included in your service fee

- Work within a genuine multidisciplinary team — contribute while learning from other clinicians

- Regular case reviews

- A collaborative, dynamic team environment

The Role

We're looking for dynamic, highly organised therapists to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will:

- Complete clinical assessments and develop and implement individual therapy plans

- Deliver direct therapy at the clinic and, where required, across home, school, and community settings

- Develop and deliver specialist therapy groups across a range of skills

- Provide training and coaching for families

- Have opportunities to implement specialist programs and contribute to curriculum development

- Use clinical observations and standardised assessments, interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals

About You

- Current tertiary qualification relevant to your role

- Current AHPRA registration

- Current Professional Indemnity Cover

- Eligibility to register with Medicare

- A strong work ethic

- Experience working with children, adolescents and adults, with confidence in your role

- Dedication and passion for working as part of a dynamic team

- Interest in working with children, young people, adults and their families across a range of neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD

- Experience delivering services under the NDIS

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in high-quality report writing

- Ability to provide assessment and ongoing therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing challenges including developmental delay, early intervention needs, social skills difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more

If this is your first time in private practice as a contractor, we can support you through the transition to make it smooth and enjoyable.

Please note: at this stage, we are not offering positions to provisional psychologists. If you're working towards full AHPRA registration, we'd genuinely love to hear from you once that's obtained — but we ask that provisional psychologists hold off applying for now, as applications from provisional registrants can't be considered or contacted at this time.

If you're interested in this rewarding opportunity, please apply with a CV and at least two recent references.
