About the role

Wakali Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This is a full-time or part-time position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised treatment plans that enable clients to achieve independence and improve their quality of life. This role is integral to delivering high-quality rehabilitation and therapeutic services across our organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify clients' functional abilities, limitations and rehabilitation needs

- Develop, implement and monitor individualised treatment plans tailored to each client's goals and circumstances

- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions across a range of settings, including clinic-based and community-based environments

- Collaborate with clients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and person-centred care

- Document client progress, maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive clinical reports

- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of service delivery and rehabilitation outcomes

- Provide advice and education to clients and carers regarding adaptive strategies, assistive devices and environmental modifications

- Participate in team meetings, case conferences and professional development opportunities

What we're looking for





- Current registration with Occupational Therapy Australia and compliance with all regulatory requirements

- Accredited qualification in Occupational Therapy from an approved university programme

- Proven clinical experience in physiotherapy, occupational therapy or rehabilitation settings

- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse client populations

- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team

- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practice guidelines in healthcare and rehabilitation

- Current First Aid certification and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Proficiency in electronic health records and clinical documentation systems

- A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
