The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Section Clarinet player. Auditions are scheduled for December 8 and 9, 2026. Candidates must prepare the 1st and 2nd movements of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto K.622 with piano accompaniment, including the traditional cadenza from the Quintet K.581, as well as orchestral excerpts that include parts for E flat Clarinet. The application deadline is November 10, 2026. This position is available to Australian citizens, Current Zealand citizens, permanent residents of Australia, or individuals with the legal right to work in Australia. Applicants interested in submitting a recording should indicate this in their application, although recordings are not required at the time of application.
