Family Counsellor

Location : Maroochydore

Employment Type : Permanent part-time (4 days a week)

Remuneration : $53.43 per hour + Super + NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 and $2,650 for meals and entertainment

Responsibilities

- Provide individual, couple and group counselling and education to strengthen family relationships.
- Prevent family breakdown and ensure the wellbeing and safety of children and adults within families.

Essential Requirements

- Sound knowledge of counselling and related services within a therapeutic context for clients experiencing domestic and family violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, relationship discord, grief and loss.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work co‑operatively within a multi‑disciplinary team in a complex human services environment.

Qualifications

- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution and prior experience.
- Qld Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check.
