A current opportunity has arisen for a senior projects lawyer to join the infrastructure team of a global organisation in Sydney. The role will be a key part of the legal team, supporting the commercial team across large complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership on legal and commercial issues relating to proposed projects.
- Assisting with structuring, preparing, negotiating, and concluding transactions for projects.
- Supporting the business in construction dispute resolution.
- Responsibility for managing risk for projects in delivery.
- Advising the business on compliance and risk management.
Key Requirements
- Ideally 8+ years gained from a leading private practice firm or in-house organisation.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating engineering and construction contracts.
- Previous exposure to construction litigation ideally across large projects.
- Excellent negotiation and advisory skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines with excellent problem solving skills.
