About the Role

As a Kitchen Steward you will support the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. You will ensure the kitchen is well stock‑ed and organised, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. This role is essential for maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting chefs during busy periods.

Responsibilities

- Operate dishwashers to ensure every item is sanitised correctly
- Clean and tidy the kitchen spaces around the hotel
- Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure hygiene, health and safety standards are met at all times
- Oversee the smooth operation of the hotel's loading bay,



including relocating deliveries and waste disposal bins while following safe manual handling practices
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure everything we do provides excellent service to our guests

Qualifications

- Previous experience handling and working with chemicals
- Confident communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Flexibility and availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work around a 7‑day week roster including weekends and public holidays
