About the Role

Join the Acute and Emergency team at Millicent & District Hospital as a Registered Nurse and deliver safe, person-centred care within a supportive rural health environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care while developing your professional practice through ongoing learning and experience. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support students and junior staff, and play an important role in delivering evidence-based care to the local community. These positions are available due to an existing ongoing vacancy and internal workforce movement, and are suited to experienced Acute and Emergency Registered Nurses seeking a rewarding regional career.

About You

You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering high-quality patient-centred care. You bring sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development while supporting positive outcomes for patients and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.

- Demonstrate experience within an Acute and/or Emergency Department setting (RN104 or above preferred).

- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care while effectively prioritising workload in a dynamic clinical environment.





- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

- Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement, professional development and consumer-centred care.

Conditions of Employment

- A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.

- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC).

- NDIS Worker Check.

- Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A .

- SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy
