Driven by unprecedented investment in data centres, power, water and enabling infrastructure, our business is entering an exciting new phase of growth. We're looking for an exceptional Precontracts Manager to lead that journey. This isn't a role where you'll inherit decades of legacy processes.

The OpportunityReporting to the Head of Commercial Strategy, the Precontracts Manager will provide strategic leadership across our entire precontracts function.

You'll be responsible for developing the people, systems and processes that consistently produce winning outcomes while partnering closely with our operational leaders to shape how projects are pursued, developed and secured. Success in this role is measured by more than tender submissions. It's about creating a culture of excellence, improving win rates, building capability and positioning the business for long-term sustainable growth.

Developing and leading a high-performing precontracts team across estimating, planning, bid management and proposals. Establishing best-practice systems, governance and continuous improvement across the precontracts function. Driving strategic bid decisions and pursuit planning on complex infrastructure opportunities.





Championing collaborative procurement models including Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), alliances and negotiated opportunities. Working closely with operational leaders to develop innovative delivery solutions that create value for our clients.

Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and industry partners. Mentoring and developing future leaders within the business. Creating a culture that combines commercial discipline with innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About YouYou're an experienced leader who enjoys building teams as much as winning projects. You understand that exceptional precontracts performance comes from developing people, creating systems and fostering collaboration across estimating, engineering, planning and operations. You'll bring:Extensive experience leading precontracts, estimating or commercial teams within civil construction or infrastructure.

Solid commercial and strategic thinking. A collaborative leadership style that develops capability and empowers others. Experience delivering complex tenders across utilities, transport, energy or major infrastructure.
