Role Purpose

Join a global CIB with local impact. As a Trainee in Natixis’ Coverage team, you’ll be part of a small, high-performing group that works closely with corporates, multinationals, infrastructure funds, and private equity sponsors across Australia and Current Zealand.

The successful candidate will support the origination and execution of a broad range of financing and M&A; transactions, contributing to delivery of client strategy across Infrastructure & Energy Finance, Acquisition and Strategic Finance, Global Markets, Securitisation, Debt Capital Markets, and Strategic Equity Capital Markets. You’ll collaborate daily with senior local professionals and product specialists across Natixis’ global network in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results-driven global organization.

Primary responsibilities

- Supporting new origination, the delivery of client strategy, pipeline reporting,



and pitch preparation.
- Assisting Client Coverage in delivering tailored financing, advisory, and risk management solutions across Natixis’ business lines.
- Conducting research on clients, markets, and regulatory developments, and identifying potential marketing opportunities.
- Supporting the preparation of credit applications, undertaking financial analysis and forecasting, credit rating analysis, and assessment of commercial returns.
- Providing transaction execution support, coordinating between internal stakeholders, and managing internal processes relating to our business, including document negotiation and KYC diligence.
- Monitoring risks and the financial performance of clients, and maintaining client databases and pipeline reports.
- Demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a team and displaying a strong commitment to cross-border and local collaboration with Corporate and Financial Sponsor Coverage and product teams.

- University educated with excellent communication skills and strong numerical and accounting skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, inquisitive nature, great attention to detail, creativity, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Up to one year’s working experience in an IB environment is preferred.
- Applicants must hold current, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- This is a fixed-term position for an initial 12-month period, with potential to extend for an additional 12 months.
