About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Planner/Coordinator Mechanical to join our Engineering team at Kestrel. Reporting to the Superintendent Infrastructure, this residential role is based on site and offers the flexibility of either a Monday to Friday or 9-day fortnight roster.

This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused mechanical professional who enjoys coordinating complex maintenance and infrastructure activities, providing technical leadership, and working collaboratively with operational and engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable and efficient outcomes.

In this role, you will support Kestrel by:

- Plan, schedule and coordinate mechanical maintenance, installation, repair and commissioning activities.
- Provide safety leadership and ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, statutory requirements and risk controls.
- Deliver technical guidance and support on mechanical equipment, fault finding and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate the delivery of weekly work plans, shutdowns, projects and priority maintenance activities.
- Manage contractors,



suppliers and OEMs to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, maintenance strategies, legislative requirements and site expectations.
- Coordinate labour, materials, tooling, equipment and permits to support efficient work execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Communicate progress, risks, delays and performance outcomes with key stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor and support tradespeople, supervisors and work crews to build capability and maintain high performance.

About you:

- Demonstrated experience coordinating the installation and commissioning of mechanical infrastructure, with experience in conveyor installations highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Experience managing maintenance, shutdown or infrastructure projects.
- Well-developed analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A proven ability to deliver outcomes while supporting broader business objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across operational and technical teams.
- Mining Supervisor competencies (G1, G2, G8 and G9),



or the willingness to obtain them.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
