The Opportunity

Brisbane North PHN is looking for an experienced Coordinator - Adult and Youth Mental Health to help shape and improve mental health and connected community services across the Brisbane North region. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, service delivery and system reform, partnering with consumers, carers, service providers, government and community organisations to deliver meaningful change.

About The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader - Infants, Children and Young People, you’ll play a key role in planning, commissioning, implementing and overseeing programs that improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes across the region.

You’ll bring together diverse perspectives, build trusted relationships and use evidence, data and community insight to support better service design and delivery. Your work will include:





- Supporting the commissioning and procurement of mental health services in line with Brisbane North PHN’s commissioning framework
- Building trusted and collaborative relationships with providers, consumers, carers, government and community partners
- Contributing to regional planning, service integration and system reform
- Monitoring program performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Supporting initiatives that improve access, equity and outcomes, particularly for priority populations, including First Nations peoples
- Ensuring consumer and carer voices inform service design, commissioning and delivery
- Contributing to monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Representing Brisbane North PHN at committees, advisory groups and sector forums
- Working across organisational and sector boundaries to strengthen collaboration and improve outcomes

About You

You’re a confident and collaborative professional who understands the complexity of the mental health and community services landscape and knows how to bring people together to achieve better outcomes.

You’ll bring:

- A relevant degree qualification in mental health, health services, social sciences, alcohol and other drug treatment or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of the adult and youth mental health sectors
- Experience working in complex health, community or human service environments
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder partnerships




- Experience in program development, commissioning, project management and/or systems reform
- Robust communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and translate strategy into meaningful action
- A genuine commitment to improving mental health outcomes and strengthening community-based care

Salary

Salary: $100,504.75 Base + Super + Salary Packaging + Leave Loading
